Ball State offers several Immersive Learning opportunities for students. From working with UPD to spring training baseball work in Florida over spring break, there are several selections to choose from to get hands-on experience in the field of media. For my immersive learning project, I choose BSU at the Fair. I worked with writers, photographers, other videographers and PR teams over the span of 2 weeks to report and produce stories at the Indiana State Fair.

During my time there, I created several news based packages but also got to work with videographers on a level that I’d never experienced before. I learned how to work a time lapse camera and how to edit more long form stories. One of our videos ‘Puppy Lovin’ was featured on Good Morning America as a result.
